Joan Pinardell was born in 1958 in Alcora, Castellón. Since an early age he contacted with hand painted artistic tile and classic drawing receiving classes from the ceramist Jose Cotanda. During his adolescence he collaborated illustrating and publishing texts of art and literature magazines (Manxa, Cristal, Llum). He received acrylic and watercolor classes from the Mexican painter Jerónimo Uribe Clarín.
